ABOUT THE ACCOUNTING DEGREE

The accounting programme is designed to educate students in the principles of financial data computation and financial data management and prepare students for careers in accounting. The program also assists students who intend to sit the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and other professional certifications exams for Accountants.

It provides a solid foundation of critical analytical skills, promotes ethical awareness, enhances communication and networking skills, and introduces regulatory compliance. If you like working with figures, focus on accuracy, solving puzzles, are organized, have a strong sense of ethics, are trustworthy and are able to work and meet deadlines, then you would enjoy a career in Accounting.

CAREERS IN ACCOUNTING
Students are exposed to topics such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing which will prepare them for careers in any of the following: accounts clerk, auditor, taxation expert, payroll clerk, accounting assistant, managerial accountant and so many more.
