ABOUT THE ECONOMICS DEGREE

The mission of the economics programme is to educate our students in both the practical and theoretical aspects of production, resources allocation, wealth distribution and other such areas. This is achieved through teaching the concepts and tools necessary to understand the role of economics within organizations and society.

Students are taught to act in ways that enhance the value of the resources available to organizations and society. Economics is applied to the real world to study and analyze the activities and interaction between people, markets and governments. Economists want to know how policies/government initiatives work and their cause and effect.
