Sherri-Lyn M. Legall is the eldest of three children, born to two educators, Dr. Clyde Legall and Miriam Legall. She always had a keen interest in learning and notably from secondary school, was always within the top performing students of her class. She went on to do Advanced Studies at UWI Sixth Form School, then travelled abroad to pursue and complete her BBA in Managerial Sciences at Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA.

She later graduated with an MBA, with distinction from Andrews University, Michigan, USA. She earned her professional certification in Human Resource Management from the International Society of Human Resource Management in 2017 and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the University of the West Indies.  


She began her career in teaching at St. Joseph’s Convent, St. Joseph then went on to teach for a few years at UWI Sixth Form School, now UWI Pre University Centre. Ms. Legall then went on to become a full time faculty member at the University of the Southern Caribbean from September 2010 and within four years became the Chairperson of the Faculty of Business. 

She currently serves as the Interim Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of the Southern Caribbean. She continues to maintain her drive for personal excellence and excellence in educating and empowerment. She has been the recipient of several awards over the years including Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges during her college years, and Faculty of the Year in 2015, and Presidential Award for Service in 2021.


When she is not teaching, she can be found conducting training seminars, providing consulting services, assisting youth groups, and also giving piano instruction. She also enjoys playing the piano, playing the flute, traveling and shopping. 

A devout Christian, she believes her purpose is to educate and empower others wherever possible.
